IsoAcoustics Delos 2216M1 - Reveal the finer details from your records
Turntables are carefully made with extreme precision to pick up the finest details in a record. The stylus navigating the tiny variations in the vinyl’s grooves is a delicate process that is very sensitive to vibrations. The DELOS butcher block from IsoAcoustics decouples the turntable from the supporting surface and dramatically diminishes structural vibrations and resonances, resulting in greater clarity and detail.
- Isolates turntables and electric components from external vibrations
- Dimensions (WxD): 560mm x 405mm
- 45mm thick
- Supports turntables and components up to 45kg
- 6 isolating feet
- Supports larger and heavier equipment than the Delos 1815 models
- Made of Maple wood with a Janko Hardness Score of 1100
"Turntables, for example, are extremely sensitive to vibrations. The stylus navigating the tiny variations in the vinyl’s grooves is a delicate process that is easily interrupted by vibrations. We found the most effective solution to diminish the effects of external vibrations was integrating our isolators into a butcher block to combine mass with our patented isolation technology and together, we discovered great synergy."

IsoAcoustics Delos 22161 Anti-Vibrational Platform Review
"When I placed the Delos 22161 under the turntable, lowered the tonearm, and sat down to listen, my surprise was immediate. This time in a good way. Almost all of the resonance in the low bass – particularly with the bass guitar – was gone. Whereas it sounded muddled with no platform, with the Delos beneath my turntable, it sounded tight, precise, and a pop could be heard as the strings were plucked."
"High frequencies no longer displayed a noticeable sibilance – unless it was already in the recording. Cymbals had a perceptible attack and decay, and the decay lingered in the air almost like it would during a live performance. My biggest surprise was the imaging. As good as it was with no platform, it was even better with Delos. The instrumental placement was very specific and equalled what I experience with digital, which is phenomenal."

The Floating Island of Delos
The Island of Delos is one of the most important mythological and historical sites in Greece. In Greek mythology, the windy island of Delos was once uninhabitable as it floated aimlessly in the rough Aegean Sea until the Greek god Poseidon anchored the floating island in its place on four granite columns to provide a safe place for Leto to give birth to the twin gods Apollo and Artemis.
