This lens features a focal length range from about 36.0 mm to 57.4 mm and an aperture (F-number) between f/1.8 and f/2.35. These design parameters provide bright performance and controlled depth of field. The optical system delivers sharpness across the image, minimizing distortion especially at mid-throw distances. Throw Ratios Suited to Various Projector Brightness Classes
ELPLM15 adapts well to different projector brightness levels. For projectors up to ~8,500 lumens, it offers throw ratios of ~2.16 to 3.48:1 (WUXGA/WXGA); for brighter 9,000-20,000 lumen class, throw ratios tighten to ~1.57 to 2.56:1. For 4K/WUXGA projectors (high brightness), it also delivers useful ranges around 1.52 to 2.47:1. This versatility means one lens covers many deployment needs without requiring different optics per scenario.
Broad Lens Shift & Installation Versatility
Lens shift is generously designed: vertical shift ranges from about -60% to +60%, horizontal from -18% to +18% for the higher lumen projectors; for the lower brightness class, vertical shift is greater (-67% to +67%), with horizontal up to ±30%. This broad shift allows installers to place projectors off-axis, ceiling mounted, or in less-than-ideal positions and still align images without keystone distortion.
