The AudioQuest ThunderBird BiWire Jumpers are engineered to replace standard stamped metal jumpers in bi-wirable speakers, offering a purer, cleaner path between the amplifier and the speaker’s dual terminals. Using Direction-Controlled Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors sheathed in a carbon-loaded extrusion, these jumpers reduce RF pickup and maintain signal integrity across both the high- and low-frequency sections of the speaker. As short, direct connectors, they minimize parasitic effects and preserve the timbral and dynamic coherence of your system.

Removing The Weak Link in Bi-Wiring

Factory-supplied jumpers are often made with mixed metals or thin stamped sheets that degrade signal quality. The ThunderBird Jumpers address this by employing high-purity PSC+ solid conductors and better geometry. Because they are short (≈ 8″) and low in stray capacitance or inductance, they act as near-invisible links that avoid introducing coloration. When used in speaker systems intended for bi-wiring or bi-amping, this upgrade often brings immediate gains in clarity, coherence, and imaging.

Carbon-Loaded Noise Shielding & Directional Design

Beyond conductor purity, these jumpers include a conductive carbon-loaded extrusion that suppresses RF noise before it reaches the conductor core. Noise that still couples into the jumper is drained directionally (from speaker toward amplifier) thanks to the direction-controlled design.
