AudioQuest Sydney 3.5mm Mini Audio Interconnect Cable

The AudioQuest Sydney 3.5 mm Mini M → M interconnect cable is built for compact audio systems—perfect for connecting laptops, DACs, portable players, and headphone amps—with the full care and material quality you’d expect in larger cables. It uses Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors to reduce distortion, Polyethylene Air-Tube insulation to preserve dynamics, and a carbon-based noise dissipation system to keep RF interference under control.

Conductor Purity & Distortion Control

Sydney’s PSC+ solid copper conductors are polished to minimize surface irregularities. This helps reduce grain-boundary distortion and improves signal purity, especially in the midrange and treble. Because they are solid rather than stranded, the cable avoids distortion caused by strand interaction.

Insulation & Noise Rejection for Cleaner Sound

The cable uses Polyethylene Air-Tube insulation, which introduces high air content around conductors to lower dielectric absorption and reduce signal smearing. It also employs a carbon-based Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) to intercept and redirect high-frequency noise before it disturbs the signal path.

Geometry & Ground/Shield Strategy

Sydney features Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry, separating the ground/return path from the signal route. This architecture helps reduce ground-coupled distortion, improves stereo imaging, and keeps the noise floor lower.
