AudioQuest Pearl Optical Toslink Fiber-Optic Cable

The AudioQuest Pearl Optical Toslink Fiber-Optic Cable is designed to transmit digital audio using fiber-optic (light) rather than electrical conduction. It provides a galvanically isolated signal path between source devices (e.g. CD players, streamers, DACs with optical outputs) and audio components, reducing ground loops and electrical noise, while preserving clarity, dynamics, and low jitter in a digital-optical link.

Fiber Core & Light Transmission Design

At its core, the Pearl optical cable uses a high-quality fiber optic core to guide light pulses carrying the digital signal. Because it uses optical transmission, there is no electrical conduction, eliminating the possibility of ground loops or electromagnetic interference being injected into the signal path. The fiber is engineered to minimize dispersion, attenuation, and modal noise, ensuring accurate recreation of the digital audio waveform.

Noise Immunity & Electrical Isolation

One of the key advantages of this cable is its complete electrical isolation. Since the signal is transmitted via light, the cable is immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI).
