AudioQuest HD6 Carbon 76-Meter Bulk Cable Spool

The AudioQuest HD6 Carbon 18 AWG Bulk Cable is a premium-quality coaxial-style cable engineered for demanding AV tasks: HD video distribution, RF (cable or satellite), and subwoofer signal delivery. Supplied on a 76 m (250 ft) spool, it’s designed for flexibility — letting installers or DIYers cut it to needed lengths and field-terminate for a custom audio/video setup.

Solid 5% Silver-Plated Conductors for Superior Signal Integrity

At the heart of the HD6 Carbon is a solid conductor with 5% silver plating, built on AudioQuest’s Long-Grain Copper (LGC). This design reduces strand-to-strand interaction — a common source of distortion — and improves noise dissipation, especially for high-frequency signals, leading to clearer, more accurate signal transmission.

Four-Layer Shielding — Maximum Protection Against Interference

To guard against RF and electromagnetic interference (EMI), the cable uses a 4-layer shield system: carbon-loaded polyethylene + foil + 90% braid + an additional foil layer. This shield-the-shield construction provides 100% shield coverage, helping prevent noise ingress or signal leakage — important for video, RF, or subwoofer applications where clean signal transmission matters.

Direction-Controlled Conductors for Noise Minimization

The internal conductors in the HD6 Carbon are direction-controlled, meaning the cable is engineered to guide unwanted noise away from sensitive components. This orientation helps reduce RF noise and maintain cleaner signal paths — especially beneficial in systems with digital, analog, or high-power signal components.

Key Features
  • Solid conductor with 5% silver plating on Long-Grain Copper (LGC) — improves conductivity and reduces distortion.
  • 18 AWG gauge — suitable for high-definition video, RF, and subwoofer applications.
  • 4-layer shield (Carbon-loaded PE + foil + 90% braid + foil) — provides 100% shield coverage against RF/EMI.
  • Direction-controlled conductors to minimize RF noise and interference.
  • Bulk spool format (250 ft / 76 m) — field-terminable for custom-length runs and flexible installation.
  • Compatible with coaxial connectors (RCA, BNC, F-type) when terminated properly.
