AudioQuest Golden Gate 3.5mm M to F Audio Interconnect Cable

The AudioQuest Golden Gate 3.5 mm Mini M → F cable brings the performance philosophy of the Golden Gate series into compact audio applications, connecting a male 3.5 mm output to a female 3.5 mm input. It inherits design considerations like conductor purity, noise control, and precise geometry from its full-scale siblings, making it ideal for inline extension or intermediate linking in portable rigs and tight setups.

Perfect-Surface Copper for Clean Signal Path

This cable employs Solid Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors to reduce distortion caused by grain boundaries and surface irregularities. The smooth, pure copper helps reduce harshness in the treble and improves tone fidelity in midranges. This is the same conductor technology used in larger Golden Gate models, adapted to the mini format.

Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry & Ground Handling

Unlike many simple mini cables, the Golden Gate Mini uses asymmetrical double-balanced geometry to separate the signal path and ground/shield path. That helps reduce ground noise, interference coupling, and distortion introduced by shared returns, resulting in improved clarity and imaging even in compact configurations. (This geometry is used in Golden Gate series cables.)

Noise Mitigation & Dielectric Strategy

To maintain a quiet background, this cable incorporates a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) that “shields the shield” by intercepting RF and EMI before they modulate the ground reference. Foamed-polyethylene insulation gives the conductors ample air spacing, reducing dielectric absorption and preserving transient detail. These features align with the design choices in the Golden Gate line to manage interference.
