The AudioQuest Forest USB-C to B Digital Audio Cable is engineered for high-fidelity digital audio connectivity from USB-C sources (such as modern computers, tablets, or mobile devices) to USB-B endpoints (DACs, audio interfaces, USB DAC inputs). Its design marries premium materials, noise control techniques, and precise geometry to ensure the digital signal arrives with minimal distortion and interference, preserving clarity and musicality.

Conductor Materials & Silver Enrichment

The Forest USB-C to B cable uses semi-solid concentric conductors that are 0.5 % silver coated, optimizing high-frequency performance by improving surface conductivity. This arrangement reduces strand-interaction distortion compared to conventional stranded wire designs. The semi-solid concentric structure balances performance and flexibility, offering a refined signal path without overly rigid behavior.

Noise Dissipation & Shielding Strategy

To guard against radio-frequency noise and electromagnetic interference (RFI/EMI), the cable includes a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System, which acts as a “shielding the shield” layer that absorbs or reflects interference before it reaches the ground reference. The design further integrates directional control of conductor paths, ensuring induced noise is drained away from sensitive components rather than contaminating the signal path.

Insulation & Dielectric Design

The cable employs Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation, a nitrogen-injected rigid foam with high internal air fraction.
