AudioQuest Dragon XLR Braid Audio Interconnect Cable - Pair

The AudioQuest Dragon XLR Interconnect Cable is AudioQuest’s flagship balanced analog link, designed for the most demanding audio systems. It integrates their highest level of noise suppression, conductor purity, and signal integrity technologies to deliver a remarkably transparent, quiet, and musical connection.

Pure Conduction via Solid Perfect-Surface Silver

At its core, Dragon XLR uses Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors—ultra-smooth, single-piece silver rails that reduce distortion from grain boundaries and avoid intra-strand interactions. This ensures purity in tone, dynamic contrast, and microdetail.

ZERO-Tech Geometry & Dual 72 V Dielectric Bias

Dragon XLR incorporates ZERO-Tech geometry, eliminating the electrostatic field between conductors so the cable does not have a fixed characteristic impedance. This allows linear RF noise dissipation across all octaves. Additionally, it uses dual 72 V Dielectric-Bias Systems (DBS) to polarize the insulating dielectric, further reducing dielectric-induced distortion.

Level-7 Noise-Dissipation & Shield Design

To combat RF/EMI interference, Dragon XLR employs a Level-7 Noise-Dissipation System, which combines carbon/graphene mesh, direction-controlled conductors, PSS drains (even the shield drains are silver), and RF-draining plug barrels. This layered approach ensures very low noise floors and enhanced clarity.

Key Features
  • Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors
  • ZERO-Tech geometry (no fixed characteristic impedance)
  • Dual 72 V Dielectric-Bias Systems (DBS) for insulation linearization
  • Level-7 Noise-Dissipation: carbon/graphene mesh + direction-controlled conductors + PSS drains + RF-draining barrels
  • FEP Air-Tube insulation for minimal dielectric absorption
  • Hanging-silver over red-copper XLR connectors (cold-welded)
  • Silver-plated RF-draining plug barrels
  • Balanced XLR (male-to-female) format
  • Designed for high-end systems demanding low noise and high resolution
