The AudioQuest Diamond USB-C to A Digital Audio Cable is built to deliver premium digital audio performance when connecting USB-C sources (e.g. modern laptops, tablets, streamers) to USB-A destination devices (e.g. DACs, audio interfaces). It combines ultra-pure silver conductors, advanced noise-mitigation systems, and dielectric biasing to maintain clarity, reduce distortion, suppress interference, and deliver an exceptionally clean digital path.

Multi-Layer Noise Dissipation and Shielding

To protect the signal from radio-frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic noise, the Diamond USB-C to A cable uses a multi-layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) composed of alternating metal and carbon-based layers. This architecture absorbs and redirects external noise before it can reach the signal or ground layers. The design also incorporates directional control to guide induced noise away from sensitive circuitry rather than toward it.

Ultra-Pure Silver Conductors for Signal Fidelity

This cable features solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors, meaning the conductors are made of pure silver with a finely polished surface to minimize grain-boundary distortion. Because digital audio signals at high frequencies often travel near the conductor surface, this purity ensures minimal resistive loss and maximal signal integrity. The use of a solid conductor design also eliminates strand-interaction distortion common in multi-stranded cables.

Dielectric Bias, Insulation, and Structural Control

The cable applies a 72 V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) to establish a consistent electrostatic field across the insulation, reducing non-linear dielectric behavior and temporal distortion in the insulation material. The insulation itself is made of rigid, nitrogen-injected foam (such as Hard-Cell Foam), which maximizes internal air content, minimizing dielectric absorption and preserving signal timing. The stiffness helps maintain stable conductor geometry and spacing for consistent impedance.
