The AudioQuest Diamond USB-A 3.0 to Micro-B 3.0 Digital Audio Cable is engineered to provide a premium SuperSpeed USB 3.0 link between USB-A sources and Micro-B 3.0 devices (such as high-end DACs or audio storage). With ultra-pure conductor metallurgy, advanced noise-dissipation, and dielectric biasing, this cable is built to preserve signal accuracy, lower interference, and maintain low jitter even under demanding digital loads.

Noise Dissipation and Shielding Architecture

To maintain signal integrity in electrically noisy environments, the cable includes a carbon-based noise-dissipation system that functions as a shield the shield layer. This architecture absorbs and reflects radio-frequency interference before it impacts the signal or ground layers.

Conductor Purity and Signal Precision

At its core, the Diamond USB-A 3.0 to Micro-B 3.0 uses solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors. These conductors are 100 % silver with a refined surface treatment to minimize grain boundary distortion. Because digital signals travel along conductor surfaces at high frequencies, this purity contributes to superior signal clarity and reduced resistive loss.

Dielectric Bias and Insulation Strategy

Diamond integrates a 72 V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) that applies a steady electrostatic field across its insulation. This biasing helps stabilize the dielectric medium and reduce nonlinear behavior in the insulation, which can otherwise introduce distortions in timing and phase.  The insulation itself is a rigid foam (such as Hard-Cell Foam) with high internal air content, minimizing dielectric absorption and helping preserve timing accuracy.
