AudioQuest Cinnamon USB-A to USB-B High-Definition Audio Cable

The AudioQuest Cinnamon USB-A to B Digital Audio Cable is a high-performance interconnect engineered for digital audio applications. It bridges a USB-A source (computer, streamer, server) to a USB-B input (DAC, audio interface), with design aimed at minimizing distortion, reducing noise, and preserving musical detail and spatial imaging.

Conductor & Silver Plating Technology

This cable employs solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors with 1.25 % silver plating to enhance high-frequency conductivity and reduce resistive loss. The solid-core design (versus stranded) helps suppress strand-interaction distortion and maintain signal integrity.

Noise-Control & Shielding Architecture

To combat radio-frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic intrusion, the Cinnamon cable features a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation shield that “shields the shield” by absorbing and deflecting noise before it reaches ground. Conductors are directionally optimized so induced noise is drained away from sensitive end points rather than corrupting signals.

Dielectric & Insulation Strategy

The insulation material is Hard-Cell Foam (HCF)—a nitrogen-injected foam with a high proportion of trapped air. Because air (and nitrogen) exhibit very low dielectric absorption, this design helps reduce stored-energy distortion and maintain signal timing. The stiffness also maintains consistent conductor geometry, supporting stable impedance.
