AudioQuest Carbon USB-A to USB-C High-Definition Audio Cable

The AudioQuest Carbon USB-C to A Digital Audio Cable provides a high-quality digital audio bridge between a USB-C source (such as a modern laptop, tablet, or smartphone) and a USB-A input device or DAC. It is engineered to preserve signal fidelity by combining premium conductor materials, layered noise mitigation, and precise construction aimed at reducing distortion, interference, and jitter in demanding audio systems.

Conductor Design and Silver Enhancement

This cable features semi-solid concentric conductors plated with 5 % silver. The silver plating boosts surface conductivity where high-frequency digital edges travel, while the semi-solid concentric geometry helps suppress distortion caused by strand interaction. This arrangement ensures a clean, stable pathway for the digital audio signal with greater clarity and reduced degradation.

Advanced Noise Dissipation and Shielding

To safeguard the digital path from radio-frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic noise, the cable includes a Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation System. This system functions as a multi-layer shield that absorbs and redirects noise before it can contaminate the signal or ground. Additionally, the conductors are direction-controlled so induced noise is drained away from sensitive circuitry rather than toward it, further preserving signal integrity.

Dielectric Insulation and Structural Stability

The insulation is made of Hard-Cell Foam (HCF), a nitrogen-injected rigid foam with high internal air content. Because air (and nitrogen) have very low dielectric absorption, this design minimizes stored-energy distortion and helps maintain timing accuracy. The rigidity of HCF also stabilizes conductor geometry and spacing, promoting consistent impedance and lowering distortion over the cable’s length.
