AudioQuest Carbon USB-A to USB-B High-Definition Audio Cable

The AudioQuest Carbon USB-A to B Digital Audio Cable is engineered to deliver high-fidelity digital audio from a USB-A source—such as a computer or audio streamer—to a USB-B destination like a DAC or audio interface. It is built to reduce signal contamination and noise, helping ensure the digital audio reaches its endpoint with maximum clarity and minimal distortion.

Conductor Design & Silver Plating

At its core, the Carbon cable employs solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors with 0.5 % silver plating. This silver layering enhances high-frequency conductivity (where digital transitions occur), while the solid-core LGC construction suppresses strand-interaction distortion common in multi-stranded cable designs. The result is a cleaner, more stable digital signal path.

Noise Control via Shielding & Dissipation

To combat radio-frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic noise, this cable incorporates a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System that functions as a “shielding the shield” layer—absorbing and reflecting unwanted interference before it reaches the signal or ground conductors. The cable’s conductors are directionally optimized so that induced noise is guided away from sensitive device circuitry.

Dielectric & Insulation Strategy

The Carbon cable uses Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation—a rigid nitrogen-injected foam with high internal air content. Because air and nitrogen both have extremely low dielectric absorption, this insulating scheme helps reduce stored-energy distortion and preserve signal timing. Its structural stiffness also helps maintain precise conductor spacing and stable geometry throughout the length of the cable.
